Passenger Knitting

I can’t do it. I just can’t do it. We went on a little ride today (enough I justified bringing my Wooded Denim along) and I knit all the way to our destination. It was difficult, awkward, and uncomfortable. I was trying to hold the pattern on my lap and keep if from falling all the while knit. I guess I just can’t be a public knitter. I already take over 30mins per pattern repeat which is 12 rows. Last night I timed myself and it took me 41mins and some odd seconds. I call myself using up the entire ball of yarn on the increases and using the other skein for the decreases. that means I’m at 20 points and still have plenty of yarn to go. I don’t know how big this thing is going to get but, the bigger the better. I just don’t like how long it takes me to finish a repeat. So, trying to do this in the car while moving; when sitting still takes so long already, I don’t think so.
