I had to frog Pageantry I miss-read my notes and started on the wrong row and got all out of sorts and just frogged the thing. Looking back on it if I had taken my time I probably could have just ripped back a row or two and continued on with the progress I had made. Fortunately I like Pageantry and it’s not much to start it all over again.
In the meantime I’m working on a shrug for my six-year-old niece and the pattern name is Simple Stockinette Shrug by danzhch on Ravelry. I’ve decided to do the shrug without making the sleeves so it’ll be just a small sleeve on my niece. Her measurements came out almost exact to the XS so that’s the size I’m making. She wanted me to use the same yarn I’m using for Pageantry but, I decided it would look better in a solid color. I chose red which was her original request color. I’m using Red Heart Super Saver Solids for this project. Some acrylic I had in stash. That way if she stains it or something of the sort being six in all, all my sister has to do is a quick wash.
Flies have taken over the house. I don’t know if they got in because the door was open or got in through a crack somewhere but, they’ve bred and taken over the house. I can’t wait until winter and hopefully we’ll have a real one this year where things die that are supposed to and other things get a chance to renew like they’re suppose to. I’m actually enjoying working on Karmen’s Shrug which is what I’ve named the Simple Stockinette Shrug. When I’m feeling well (haven’t been feeling well the past 2 days) I get into a groove and I’ve managed to make up and pass the amount that I did in a different yarn just in one day.
That’s my goings-on. I’m battling flies while trying to knit a shrug before I restart a curtain.
